摘要
The position encoding and timing characteristics of a large wedge and strip anode (WSA) position sensitive detector were compared with other types of position sensitive detectors to improve the efficiency of the electron momentum spectroscope. A microchannel plate (MCP) position sensitive detector was developed for use in the electron momentum spectroscope. The timing signals are picked up from the back of the MCP. A position resolution of 121 μm at 40 mm range and a time resolution of 4.3 ns were obtained for (e, 2e) coincident events. Therefore, the WSA position sensitive detector can precisely detect both the position and time of electrons for the electron momentum spectroscope.
