摘要

A new optimization design model was developed to aerodynamically optimize a wind turbine blade geometry. In this model, we considered the probability distribution of the wind speed on the wind farm in a year. The optimizer employs an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm which is linearly decreasing weight PSO (LDW-PSO) algorithm for global optimization purposes. The optimization objection is making the designed wind turbine have maximum mean annual output power in all the work wind speed range and some special work wind speed range at the same time while keeping the pitch angle of blade tip be zero, and the wind rotor diameter and rotational speed be a known constant. Compared with the reference blades, the designed blade shows its superiority. So it also indicates that this model is feasible and practicability.
