摘要
Transient optical emission characteristics in discharge of the gases, a mixture of He-Ne (26%)-Xe (3.7%) filled in plasma display panel (PDP), were studied with a high speed intensified CCD camera (ICCD) and a photoelectron-multiplier-tube (PMT). Time evolution of the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) emission intensities, at different pressures during a single sustaining voltage pulse, was measured to understand the influence of gas pressure on specral line intensity, emission delay and emission duration. The results show that the gas pressure significantly affects the emission characteristics. For example, as the pressure increases, both the UV and IR emission delay and duration time decrease; while visible light intensity reduces, the total UV intensity increases.
