摘要

A PbS-polymer nanocomposite with an ultrafast third-order optical response is successfully synthesized. In order to develop the PbS-polymer nanocomposite having larger third-order optical nonlinearities, a new PbS-polymer nanocomposite was fabricated by using a modified method. An experimental study of third-order optical nonlinearities in the new PbS-polymer nanocomposite using the Z-scan technique with femtosecond laser pulses at 780 nm wavelength is presented. The mechanisms responsible for the observed nonlinearities are discussed.
