N2 - The elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) theory for line contact friction pairs has progressively matured in solving for oil film thickness and pressure distribution within the contact region. With the advancement of modern computational capabilities, more complex factors, such as wear conditions, material properties, and parameter variations in lubrication, are increasingly being taken into account. However, the EHL theory primarily focuses on the film thickness, pressure, and rheological properties of the lubrication within the contact area of the friction pair, leading to a disconnection between the microscopic behavior within the contact region and the macroscopic behavior of the entire friction pair. Therefore, this paper proposes a two-dimensional model of an equivalent friction pair, based on the oil film thickness derived from conventional EHL theory. Firstly, we investigate the influence of varying lubricant quantities on the flow field distribution under constant oil film thickness conditions. Secondly, we examine the changes in lubrication characteristics among different oil film thickness models, ensuring they meet sufficient lubrication criteria. Finally, we analyze the impact of various rolling-sliding ratios on lubrication characteristics. The results indicate that the proposed model meets accuracy requirements and provides a theoretical foundation for subsequent research.
