摘要
This chapter, The Pandemic's Wake: Public Health Systems Under Scrutiny Analysis of global health systems' strengths and vulnerabilities revealed by COVID- 19, seeks to analyze the lessons learned from the COVID- 19 pandemic, focusing on how it revealed the capabilities and shortcomings of global health systems. By examining the responses of various nations, the role of international collaboration, and the disproportionate impacts on vulnerable populations, this chapter aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of what worked, what failed, and what must be done to build stronger, more equitable public health systems for the future. The pandemic underscored the critical importance of robust public health infrastructure, science- driven policies, and global solidarity. At the same time, it exposed deep- seated inequities, underfunding, and systemic weaknesses that hindered effective responses.
