摘要
Grid-forming (GFM) inverter, recognized for its capability to form grid frequency and voltage, have garnered significant attention in modern power systems. The parallel operation of GFM inverters is a common scenario in renewable energy stations. However, the impacts of inertia distribution between a group of several GFM inverters on the system small-signal stability remain insufficiently explored. Therefore, this paper develops a simplified swing equation for paralleled GFM inverters and derives the equivalent inertia of the whole system. By eigenvalue analysis and time-domain simulations, the impacts of inertia distribution on small-signal stability of paralleled GFM inverters are investigated. The results reveal that a more uniform and homogeneous inertia distribution enhances small-signal stability of the system.
