摘要

The effect of surface grinding on the stress corrosion cracking initiation of 316LN stainless steel in 600 °C supercritical CO2 was studied through constant extension rate tensile test. The ground surface exhibited much higher oxidation resistance than the polished surface as the deformation layer can greatly enhance the diffusion of active elements and promote the formation of more protective oxide scale. Moreover, the intergranular cracking was effectively suppressed on the ground surface as the ingress of oxidant along the original grain boundary was inhibited.
