摘要

The paper explores the impact of outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) on corporate green innovation. To achieve this, this study applied the Poisson regression to analyse a sample of 1,874 Chinese firms over 11 years. The main findings show that OFDI positively impacts corporate green innovation. The relationship is positively moderated by CEO attributes, i.e. international CEO education, CEO political connections, and CEO power. The findings contribute to the corporate environmentalism literature by examining how OFDI drives firms’ green innovation strategies.
