The Analysis of Electromagnetics-Temperature-Component Distribution in Three-Phase Electric Furnace in Ferronickel Processing

摘要

It is of particular value to analyze electromagnetics-temperature-component multiphysical field distribution in electric furnace in improving productivity and reducing energy consumption. A steady two-dimensional (2D) mathematical model is established to study multi-physical field distribution in electric furnace in ferronickel processing. Besides, the effects of voltage and electrode spacing are studied. The results show that electromagnetics-temperature-component fields are strongly coupling and uneven in electric furnace. The uneven energy distribution will be improved with the decreased voltage and increased electrode spacing. As the electrode spacing increases from 3.5 m to 6.5 m, the difference of maximum Joule heat value decreases by 85.3% and the temperature uniformity is improved obviously.
