Temperature and pressure dual-parameter sensing based on Fiber Bragg Grating

摘要

This paper experimentally studies the temperature and pressure response of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and gold-plated FBG. The incident light is transmitted through the sensor and is reflected after encountering FBG. As the temperature and pressure changes, the reflection peak will change. The changes in the reflection spectrum are studied through experiments to get the temperature and pressure changes at the measured point. The experimental results show that the temperature response sensitivity of the FBG is 0.011 nm/ °C, and the response sensitivity of gold-plated FBG is 0.031 nm/ °C. The pressure response sensitivities of the sensors are 0.07nm/Mpa and 0.09nm/Mpa., respectively. Through the comparison of FBG and gold-plated FBG, temperature and pressure dual-parameter sensing is realized. The probe structure is simplified, the measurement accuracy of the sensor is improved, and the temperature and pressure dual-parameter sensor measurement in the medical, chemical, engine and other research fields are realized.
