摘要

A spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) leaky-wave antenna (LWA) is proposed to achieve passive 2-D frequency beam scanning in the sub-THz band. The antenna is composed of two layers of waveguide components, i.e., the LWA array and the series feeding network. The top LWAs front-to-end series by the bottom series feeding network, achieving a compact structure. The orthogonal phase gradients from the LWA itself and the series feeding network make the antenna generate the frequency scanning beams with different beam directions in both pitch and azimuth planes. Moreover, to improve the beam scanning range of the antenna, SSPP is used to enhance the dispersion characteristics of the LWA units and the series feeding network, making the design can realize 2-D pm 30° steered beams within 0.26 to 0.33THz.
