摘要

El was an effective experimental technology of studying voltage-endurance, pre-breakdown and molecular excited state of high polymers. Tested the luminescence and the spectrum of poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) films under dc field by home-made experimental set-up. The results showed that the luminescence of PET films increased along with the field, and pre-breakdown phenomenon appeared under 4.0 MV/cm, and had peak values at 450 and 680 nm.
