摘要
In this work, the conformation change of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) in water+tert-butanol binary solvent was studied using dynamic light scattering method, the results indicate that PEO presents a collapse-reswelling anomalous transition. We analyzed possible reasons for this anomalous transition, which are non-solvency of the solvents (Shultz-Flory theory), critical uctuation effect and anomalous properties of water+alcohol solutions. We explained the experimental results very well combining these three possible reasons.
