摘要

In this paper, the criterion for the judgment of stability of a general mechanical system is discussed. The calculation result shows that it is unreasonable using system damping for this purpose. The concepts of general energy and the principle of general energy conservation are elaborated. The ratio of general energy is used as the index to determine the stability margin of the system
