摘要

The sampling processes and principles of wireline formation testers, such as RFT (Repeat Formation Tester), RMT (Formation Multi Tester), MDT (Modular Formation Dynamics Tester), RCI (Reservoir Characterization Instrument), etc. are introduced, and the advantages, shortcomings and innovations of the sampling techniques are contrasted and analyzed. The formula for estimating the sample volume is also derived from related reservoir engineering theories, which may be important to practical sampling work.
