摘要

In recent years, the technology of on-site partial discharge detection of MV and LV cables obtained the rapid development in the world. The method of partial discharge detection of XLPE cables under oscillating wave voltage is widely used in our power systems. This paper describes the principle, advantages and disadvantages of this test method, and reviews the test results of different frequency, the equivalence between oscillating wave voltage and power frequency voltage, and the damage to the cables.
