Retraction to: Cancer Gene Therapy, published online 15 July 2019 The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article. After publication, concerns were raised regarding highly similar images in the published figures, specifically: Fig. 3F and 6C SGC-7901 right side images appear highly similar; Fig. 4C Cyclin D1 miR-4268 and Fig. 4D Cyclin D1 anti-miR-Control bands appear highly similar. Additionally, the SGC-7901 and BGC-823 cell lines used in the in vitro experiments have been reported to be contaminated with HeLa, making them an unsuitable model for gastric cancer. The Editor-in-Chief therefore no longer has confidence in the presented data. Lingyu Zhao and Meng Xue agree to this retraction. Lu Zhang, Bo Guo, Yannan Qin, Ruifang Sun, Juang Yang, Lumin Wang, Liying Liu, Xiaofei Wang, Chen Huang & Dongdong Tong have not responded to any correspondence from the editor or publisher about this retraction. The Publisher was not able to find current contact details for Qiuyu Jiang.
