摘要

This article investigates the evolution of high current vacuum are shape evolution and voltage characteristics. By conducting arcing experiments on cup-shaped axial magnetic field contacts at different currents and arcing times, the effects of current amplitude and arcing time on are shape and arc voltage were investigated. The experimental results show that the high current vacuum arc is relatively strong, and the arc is unstable in the initial stage of arc pulling. Under long arc burning time, the intensive arc mode exists for a longer time. The relationship between current amplitude and arcing time on the duration of intensive arc mode, arc voltage peak, and critical opening distance was discussed. The research results can enhance the understanding of the characteristics of high current arcs.
