摘要

Recognition of partial discharge (PD) sources is vital for the evaluation of discharges in insulation system. This paper reports about the development of a computer-aided PD analyzer. By means of the analyzer a set of parameters of PD are measured and several statistical operators are calculated to recognize discharge sources. The use of this system in evaluating some primary types of PD on samples confirms the usefulness of this new approach.
