摘要
The dynamic behavior of shafts varies dramatically during turning due to the material removal. Rapid prediction for the frequency response function (FRF) of shafts can provide appropriate cutting parameters to avoid chatter by generating stability lobe diagram. The prediction of shafts FRF by using receptance coupling substructure analysis (RCSA) under rigid coupling has its limitation by analyzing deformation of coupling interface in shafts. According to considering the factors affecting the stiffness matrix between coupling interface, the expression of stiffness matrix is obtained. By introducing this stiffness matrix, the model for rapid prediction of shafts FRF is presented, which is based on RCSA under flexible coupling. The results of experiment and theoretical analysis show that flexible coupling model can predict FRF of shafts accurately and rapidly with material removal process. Compared with rigid coupling model, flexible coupling model is hardly influenced by the workpiece geometry.
