abstract = "In this paper, we proposed an approach to reshape the radiation pattern of a microstrip antenna by loading Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons (SSPPs). By coupling the field to the SSPPs structure located on the side of the microstrip antenna working in X-band, the radiation of the antenna changes from a broadside pattern to a endfire pattern, and the gain increases from 7.1 dB to 10.4 and 12.7 dB for two types of the SSPP-based antennas respectively.",
