QoS-Aware Joint User Scheduling and Power Allocation for Energy Harvesting Wireless Networks

摘要

Motivated by the rapid development of internet of things (IoT) application, the enormous transmitting power consumption in wireless network has imposed a great challenge to the traditional energy supply. The energy harvesting (EH) has been proposed an crucial enhancement to alleviate the energy pressure for future wireless network. In this paper, we study the user scheduling and power allocation problem for a multi-user EH wireless network, when there are statistic delay constraints for data transmission in UE-end. After classifying the UEs into prioritized and non-prioritized groups, in such network, we aims to maximize the supportable arrival rate of non-prioritized UE while satisfying the arrival rate demands of prioritized UEs along with statistic delay QoS constraints. Further, we reformulate this problem as a deterministic convex optimization by inverse-queue technique and the effective bandwidth/capacity theory. Finally, resorting to branch and bound method for this 0-1 programming w.r.t. user scheduling, we develop a QoS-aware joint user scheduling and power allocation scheme to achieve the optimal joint control in considered EH wireless network. Numerical results demonstrate the superiority of proposed scheme over existing schemes.
