摘要

Al/(PSt/PBA), Zn/(Pst/PBA) and Ni (PSt/PBA) metal core/high polymer coating micron-spheres compounded suspensions of the electrorheological fluids (ERF) are prepared by emulsion polymerization, The surface of Al and Zn and Ni particles must be modified before emulsion polymerization. The performance of the ERF was tested. The results show that the shear strength is improved over 2 kPa, the average electric field intensity is 2.5 kV/mm, the deposit time can be improved over two weeks. The metal core/high polymer coating compounded particles are promising ERF compounded suspensions material.
