Preparation and characteristics of hydroxyapatite whisker by precipitation-hydrolysis method

摘要

Hydroxyapatite whisker was prepared by precipitation hydrolysis method. Solutable calcium salts and phosphate were used as initial materials, they were refluxed respectively at 85°C, 90°C and 95°C for various length of time. A proper additive was selected to control the releasing speed of ions in the system, it made hydroxyapatite crystal grown in a desired way. The pH value of each solution was measured continuously during the reaction. After the reaction ended, the products were characterized by X-ray powder diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and infrared spectroscopy (IR). It is shown that long hydroxyapatite whisker was obtained under the reacting condition of 95°C-48h and 90°C-72h and 85°C-120h.
