Permanent fault identification method based on capacitance parameter

摘要

A novel single-phase adaptive reclosure scheme based on capacitance parameter of transmission line is proposed, where transient fault model is considered as the prototype, and the capacitance as the unknown parameter to evaluate the difference between the calculated capacitance and the actual one for distinguishing the transient and permanent fault. In the case of transient fault, the difference is small for the actual fault model is consistent to the prototype, but for the permanent fault, the difference is notable, and the actual fault model does not coincide with the prototype. By means of only using the currents from the two-terminal shunt reactors, the criterion gets simple to perform. Moreover, the algorithm is independent of the low-frequency swing component. ATP simulation results show that the scheme enables to effectively distinguish permanent fault from transient fault, and improve the action success rate of the single-phase adaptive reclosure in transmission lines with shunt reactors.
