Performance of AISI316L complicated components manufactured by laser forming

摘要

In order to improve relative densities and mechanical performances of metal parts manufactured by Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Isostatic Pressing (IP) was introduced into SLS, which included Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). Degreasing mechanism and technology of AISI316L components manufactured by SLS were analyzed, and influence of FeMn on their relative densities and mechanical performances were also investigated during HS and HIP of SLS/IP, using the methods including TG curve of PA12, tensile experiments and micrograph analysis, etc. The results show the degreasing technology of AISI316L prototype is rational for the metal parts manufactured by SLS; FeMn additive is advantageous to improve relative densities and tensile performances of AISI316L components manufactured by SLS/IP, and relative density of AISI316L components exceeds 95% with their elasticity modulus, yield strength, tensile strength and elongation percentage being 209.5 GPa, 306 MPa, 656.45 MPa and 53.1% respectively after CIP at more than 300 MPa, high sintering at 1320°C, and HIP at 1250°C/120 MPa. So the novel SLS/IP technology is suitable for manufacturing high dense and high performance metal parts.
