N2 - A software package for the design of twin screw compressors is introduced in this paper. Functions of its main program include profile generation, geometrical parameter calculation, performance simulation, dynamic analysis, rotor deflection calculation, and cutter shape calculation. It is shown that the design work of twin screw compressor can be done quickly and precisely with the help of this software package. It is also illustrated how to obtain an optimum design by making use of the package.
