T1 - Optimal operation of microgrid considering demand side management

N2 - An economic scheduling model for a microgrid is proposed by considering demand side management. Three types of loads, i.e., fixed, transferable, and user-action loads, are considered, and the management of transferable load is especially significant in the demand side management. In the case of time-of-use price, the formula of demand side management is described, and the harmonization scheduling model of the distributed generations with demand management is established. Function linearization facilitates converting the optimization case into a mixed-integer linear programming, and a commercial mixed-integer linear programming software is applied to solve the programming problem. The numerical tests for a microgrid indicate that with demand side management consideration, the total cost reduces by 3.83%.
