Numerical simulation and control of separated transition flows in high-lift low-pressure gas turbine cascade

摘要

The three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations were resolved using shear-stress-transport (SST) turbulence model and γ-Reθ transition model. The typical high-lift low-pressure gas turbine PakB cascade suction surface separated transition flows were investigated in detail. The computed results indicate that the numerical method can predict the separated transition flow reliably. A rectangular bar was used to passive control of the PakB cascade suction surface separation. And numerical simulation results show that the rectangular bar control device is successful to control the PakB cascade suction surface separation. The separation location and reattachment location as well as the onset of transition location are promoted upstream. The separation bubble length and the total pressure loss coefficient are both reduced compared with the uncontrolled ones.
