摘要
A full numerical solution for the simple-sliding point contact thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) problem is presented in this paper. In the EHL conjunction, the smooth surface is moving, while the stationary surface has a single ellipsoidal bump superimposed. The lubricant employed is a Newtonian fluid. The numerical prediction from the present study demonstrates significant influences of the surface bump on the EHL parameters, such as the film thickness, the pressure distribution and the temperature. Under different ellipticity parameters, the effects of different locations and geometry of the bump are noted.
