Non-Contact Micro-Vibration Monitoring of Power Equipment Based on FMCW Millimeter-Wave Radar

摘要

The reliable operation of power equipment like Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is critical. Traditional contact-based vibration sensors face limitations in installation and full-field coverage. This paper presents a novel non-contact monitoring system using a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar. We propose a comprehensive algorithmic framework for high-precision, multi-point vibration measurement, featuring a high-accuracy ranging method, a two-dimensional adaptive CFAR algorithm for robust target detection, and arctangent demodulation for vibration extraction. Experimental results demonstrate millimeter-level positioning and micron-level vibration measurement accuracy, validating the system's feasibility for rapid condition monitoring and early fault diagnosis.
