摘要
Nesting of two-dimensional patterns is a very important process in a number of industries. The paper proposes a nesting approach which was implemented using the C language in an IBM compatible personal computer. Through experimental results, it was concluded that the switching from the Self-Organized Layout (SOL) algorithm to the Simulated Annealing (SA) algorithm can be successfully carried out and consequently the final layout result is very favorable in comparison with a relatively little improvement that can be achieved by the human eye.
