摘要

Photodetectors are crucial for various applications, but traditional designs often focus on single light properties and face limitations in miniaturization and integration due to complex optical components. Topological semimetals detectors, however, provide a promising way to overcome the above dilemma attributed to its unique properties, including ultrafast operation speed, very broad-spectrum range, and room temperature operation, multi optical parameter sensitivity, and topologically enhance responsivity. This review explores current researches focusing on multi-parameter infrared photodetection. Based on these advantages, this review summarizes the latest research on developments on topological semimetals photodetectors for multiple optical parameters such as intensity, frequency, polarization, phase, and orbital angular momentum. Finally, this review discusses the existing challenges and prospects of further improvement of high-performance photodetection. It has been proven multiple optical parameter detections, such as polarized imaging, can enhance the performance of the detectors. With the development of artificial neural networks and functional structures which provide an approach to analyzing complex multi-dimensions optical information, this review considers that it's a promising way to compensate the low responsivity of semimetal devices and lead to further advancements in device performance and functionality.
