摘要

On the basis of the rubber devulcanization in a counter-rotating twin screw extruder, an experimental method to predict the torque and power of the extruder was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the modeling of torque and power for the rubber particles in a single C-chamber of the counter-rotating twin screw extruder was built. Then a bulk density-pressure measurement device for powder was designed and the relationship between the bulk density and the pressure of rubber particles was considered by this device. Finally, the value of power and torque and the pressure distribution along the screw were calculated using the model and combining the factors of pressure, bulk density and friction coefficient. Compared with the experimental results, the error of the predicted value is below 10.4% and the computational models are reasonable.
