title = "Modeling and Analysis of Active EMI Filters with Cascade Connection to Improve the Insertion loss",
abstract = "The insertion loss of passive filters can be improved through combinations of extra components. Similar method can also be used to optimize the performance of active EMI filter. This paper put forward a new kind of cascade connection of active EMI filters(AEF) to get a further attenuation to EMI noise. The proposed topology bases on basic active EMI filters and it is performed in a pure active way without using traditional passive components. The model of basic current sensing-current cancellation(CSCC) active EMI filter(AEF) is analyzed in detail. With this model, the topology of proposed cascaded AEF is given. Besides, the further transfer function of noise signal and insertion loss are calculated. From the analysis, a decent insertion loss can be achieved and the improvement is dramatic. Simulations and the experiments are executed for verification and results show good agreement with the analysis.",
