摘要

The methods to improve the stability of hydrostatic gas journal bearings through enhancing the damp of rotor-bearing system were reviewed. The developments of several types of hydrostatic gas journal bearings such as stabilizing rubber ring, Sixsmith, tangential orifices, dual gas film and combined types were discussed. The structure, advantages and application tendency were indicated.
