Market allocation problem for energy demander in power market

A power demander purchases energy from multimarket in deregulated electric power market, so it is very important in economic for demander to deal with the allocation problem to minimize the cost. The allocation problem for power demander purchasing energy in day-ahead market, hour-ahead market and ISO real time market is explored in this paper based on one of USA power market structure. The analytic solution is drawn for market allocation problem and cost. The numerical simulation results show that this research can provide decision support for power demander to optimize their purchase strategies.
