JANSIM: Simulator module for active networks based on Java

Aiming on saving cost for active network simulation, a Java-based Active Network Simulation Module (JANSIM) is put forward. The protocol developer on active networks can write code just once on JANSIM and it can run both ANTS, a popular active network system, and ESIB/JSIM, a promising java simulator. JANSIM consists three parts: ANTS/ESIB adapter provides developer a set of interfaces similar with ANTS and they are compatible with ESIB/JSIM, so codes developed on JANSIM can run on both environments; ANTS protocol converter can convert old active code to JANSIM code; ANTS script converter can convert ANTS script to ESIB/JSIM script.
