摘要

With increasing participation of solar energy on the power grid, an inevitable problem is that the power is intermittent and fluctuate. Therefore, the power grid or energy storage are usually required to support the grid with lots of photovoltaic inverters. However, the application of lots of energy storage will increase the cost, which is surely undesired. Moreover, assuming a strong power grid is ideal and impossible in many conditions. Because the control method of photovoltaic inverter does not undertake its responsibility, too much pressure is for the power grid or energy storage. Therefore, an improved control method is required for photovoltaic inverters to reduce such pressure for other facilities. This paper uses an improved photovoltaic inverter control strategy, named photovoltaic generator, to support the microgrid. This strategy controls the photovoltaic inverter as the controlled voltage source, which can naturally compensate the power difference between the source and the loads. The inverter that operated with the proposed method is verified by working with the storage inverter, which shows support in both steady state and dynamic state. Finally, the method is verified in simulation.
