摘要

An electrical equipment could face in practice multiple possible transient electromagnetic disturbance sources. To monitor and help in defending the disturbance signals generated by multiple potential sources, a 3-antenna-integrated detector for the measurement of transient electromagnetic fields is developed, which can measure the pulsed E-field and H-field caused by lightning, very fast transient overvoltages (VFTOs) and intentional electromagnetic interference (IEMI), simultaneously. The measuring antennas, i.e., the electrically small rod antenna, the B-dot antenna and the D-dot antenna, are all designed based on existing theoretical analysis. Numerical simulation methods are then used to determine the time and the frequency domain performance of the multi-unit detector. The results obtained indicate the proposed detector can indeed monitor pulsed E-field and H-field caused by lightning or VFTO as well as IEMI signals up to a frequency of 5.13 GHz.
