摘要

The paper presented the experimental results of the activation spectra, dose rate measurements, and the residual nuclide production cross sections obtained after the irradiation of the NatCu and 59Co targets by 12C ion beams. The results were compared with simulations by the CASCADE and LAQGSM codes. It was found that the ∼30% diagreement between the directly and indirectly measured radiation characteristics of the irradiated thick targets had occured because the γ lines of the radionuclides with insufficiently high production cross sections were impossible to single out in the γspectra.
