Induced deposition of calcium phosphate coating by sol-gel derived titania film

摘要

The carbon/carbon composite has good biomechanical compatibility if it is used as bone implant material, but it is lack of bioactivity. Through the pre-testing on slide glass it is found that titania films in anatase type prepared by sol-gel technique can induce the deposition of calcium phosphate coating composed of octacalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite from the fast calcification solution. It seems that the micro morphology of titania films has no obvious effect on the deposition rate and the composition of the calcium phosphate coating deposited from the fast calcification solution. Based on the above pre-testing results, the bioactive calcium phosphate coating is successfully compounded onto the carbon/carbon composite by the sol-gel derived titania film.
