摘要

Green synthesis of dimethyl aminoethyl (DMAE) methacrylate was discussed. In a three-neck, round-bottomed flask with a thermometer, condenser tube, and fractional column, a fixed quantity of DMAE, excess methyl methacrylate (MMA), adequate polymerization inhibitor phenothiazine (5ppm), and some catalyst Ca were added. The structure of DMAEMA was analyzed with IR spectrum instrument. It was found that Ca is an environmentally friendly catalyst with a low price, high activity, and no toxicity.
