N2 - In order to investigate the feasibility for injecting gas coal powder into blast furnace, the basic characteristics of gas coal in different coal bed and clean gas coal were investigated systematically. Also, the research results were compared with common anthracite and bituminous coal in the blast furnace of JIGANG. By the analysis of proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, ash analysis, alkalis metal analysis, grindability index, flowability index, igniting point, explosivity, ash fusion temperature, calorific value, combustibility and reactivity, combining with industrial test for injecting 26% clean gas coal at 1 750 m3 blast furnace in JIGANG, it is proposed that the gas coal from Jiyang is an ideal solid fuel for injection in blast furnace. Meanwhile, some issues are proposed for guiding the injection of gas coal powder in blast furnace.
