Fault-Tolerant Sensorless Control Method Based on Multiple Second Order Generalized Integrator for SRM Drives

摘要

A sensorless control strategy with one-phase lacking fault-tolerant capability is proposed in this paper for the switched reluctance motors (SRM). The strategy consists of multiple second order generalized integrator, a phase-locked loop and a fault-tolerant logic algorithm. The full cycle rotor position estimation can be completed in both normal operation and phase-out fault operation. By decomposing the single-phase flux into quadrature flux, rotor position can be determined in a sensorless drive. The proposed strategy is easy to implement and ensures stable operation at both medium and high speeds. Moreover, it does not require any prior measurement process and can complete the full cycle rotor position estimation. Theoretical analysis and simulation results validate the feasibility of the proposed control strategy.
