N2 - In this letter, a novel hybrid approach combines an efficient iterative method of moments-physical optics (EI-MoM-PO) with asymptotic waveform evaluation is proposed to determine the radar cross-section of glossy perfectly electrically conducting objects in an ultra-wideband. It involves applying the Taylor series to the additional exciting voltages and the self-impedance matrix in the iterative process of EI-MoM-PO method. Through Padé approximation, the iterative MoM currents are obtained by matching the coefficients to achieve efficient frequency sweeping. Several numerical results are analyzed by comparing with the EI-MoM-PO, conventional MoM-PO technology and multilevel fast multipole algorithm, demonstrating the precision and efficiency of the proposed hybrid technology.
