摘要

A comprehensive research on correlation analysis of turbulence frequencies against turbulent premixed combustion is made in a combustion bomb. Pre-ignition turbulence is generated through the motion of a perforated plate and divided into different frequency parts by wavelet packet decomposition. High-speed Schlieren combustion photos are used to monitor flame growth and pressure traces are recorded simultaneously. The cycle-resolved mass burning rate is calculated through using a quasi-dimensional two-zone combustion model. Correlation coefficients between the instantaneous mass burning rate and different turbulent frequency components are then obtained. Results show that turbulence components between 4.5 and 7.5 kHz are of major importance in accelerating flame propagation in this combustion chamber and are not affected by the fuel-air ratio or different kinds of fuel/air mixtures. For all turbulence components, there is an obvious increase in correlation coefficient with the increase of flame size.
