摘要

The micro-elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) process has been studied for nonsteady velocity and slide to roll ratios when passing a surface dent of the lubricated contact region. Based on examining the film thickness, pressure profile and center film thickness, the micro-EHL character of nonsteady velocity may differ significantly from that of the steady state. It is found that, for any slide to roll ratios and velocity, little or no change is detected in the micro-EHL process, but the velocity is greatly affected by the depth of film perturbation and surface dent.
