Effect of decoupling terms on the performance of PR current controllers implemented in stationary reference frame

摘要

The PI-based current control scheme in dq-frame and PR-based one in αβ-frame are the two most popular current control schemes. It is commonly known that there exists axes cross-coupling in dq-frame, while in αβ-frame it doesn't. And decoupling terms are usually performed to decouple dq-axes cross-coupling. However, PR control scheme presents different performance, when compared with dq-frame PI control scheme containing decoupling terms. In this paper, the meaning of cross-coupling was extended to αβ-frame. And the decoupling terms can also be implemented for αβ-frame control schemes. They can provide benefit to PR current control performance, such as improving the transient performance with less transient phase error and less frequency variation sensitivity, especially for low switching frequency applications with limited current control bandwidth. Finally, simulation and experimental results were shown to verify the analysis.
